Vela draga has been protected by law since 1963 as a natural reserve, and since 1998 as a geomorphological nature monument. The Vela draga educational trail passes along the edge of this impressive canyon and by the help of its interpretation tables, presents this monument of extraordinary geomorphological value. Above the canyon, you can take a break at a well-preserved vantage point and watch the limestone towers rising up from the canyon itself.
